Relationship Between Personality Constructs And Different Anxiety Types Among Chinese And Caucasian College Students
Anxiety This study investigates the relationship between personality constructs and different anxiety types among Chinese and Caucasian college students, and found that socially-prescribed perfectionism appeared to be a more accurate predictor of anxiety for the Chinese group as compared to their Caucasian counterparts. For the individualistic Caucasian culture - which prescribes high expectations to personal achievement, perfectionism has more impact on trait anxiety.
